Communicating Advantage, is a digital marketing and business communication firm established in 1987. We create printed marketing materials and websites.
Web Design & Hosting
We were innovators and among the earliest adopters of digital design technology creating: catalogs, brochures, newsletters, flyers and corporate presentations. We taught courses at Atlantic County Community College, designed AtlantiCare’s first website and trained their staff on web and digital design software. We were consulted on hardware and software solutions to assist in the transition to digital workflows for local businesses, casinos and institutions – including multiple commercial printers. We beta tested design software for Letraset and attended industry seminars and trade shows.
As advancements in desktop technology expanded, so did we…growing with the industry, upgrading hardware and software, and broadening our services. Being on the ‘bleeding edge’ of changes and enjoying the constant learning and expansion while providing time and money-saving services.
Business History
Communicating Advantage started working with computer graphics in February 1987 on the classic 9″ Mac Plus and the original Apple Laser printer. Originally doing layout and ‘desktop publishing’, our offerings were limited by the technology, but we created annual reports, presentations, maps, logos and other graphics for larger corporate and utility clients, including:

Printed Marketing Materials
Communicating Advantage has 30 years of experience designing brochures, flyers and catalogs for a medical software company – STI (purchased by Azalea), and a doorglass/millwork company – RSL (purchased by Novatech, a Canadian door company).
Macintosh Innovation
We responded to growing demand for digital design in organizations and businesses and consulted on hardware and software and offered training on graphic workflows on Macintosh computers. In addition to producing published materials and presentation graphics we shared what we learned from attending industry seminars, conferences and trade shows. We trained on Macintosh basics and applications like: Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator. For more read about our history.
Currently
We started designing websites and color catalogs in 1995. We also host and design many company websites. Communicating Advantage updates and maintains the website for Billiant Light Power, a very exciting energy research company. They were our first commercial website – designed for Atlantic Electric and we are honored to continue to have them as a client.
